I am a strong supporter of Manston Airport re-opening for many reasons. I would like Kent & Thanet to have the number and high quality jobs that Manston Airport will bring. An airport will also bring increased wealth and prosperity to the area and permanent employment for many people. I also want to fly to Europe from Manston Airport as well as to and from locations in the UK. The journey to and from Gatwick or Stanstead is prohibitive, long and expensive as on the road one can be subject to many delays and rail travel is expensive. Also, the infrastructure of Thanet, roads, water, hospital, schools etc will not support the extra housing planned for the airport site, as well as all the other housing planned for the isle.
