I'm greatly concerned about the effect the noise and pollution of a cargo airport will have on my and my friends and family's health and quality of life. I'm particularly concerned about the numberless night flights and the associated noise pollution and vibration.
I also believe that there is no requirement for a new cargo airport in the South East of England and that the proposal is based more on wishful thinking than on concrete evidence of a need; there's no evidence that such an airport is viable. RSP's projections about a cargo airport's capacity to create thousands of jobs also seem at odds with the growing evidence that automation will dominate the air cargo industry in the near future.
Finally, I harbour some suspicions that RSP may actually have other plans for the land and are using the airport proposal as a means of acquiring it cheaply.
