My points NOT to build housing and factories There are already hundreds of empty homes in Thanet. There is not the work for these people. If the companies wanted their factories there they would already have done so or placed them at Discovery park. Which is another mainly failed site of this owner.so it's not as though there's no space. It will overload all roads,hospitals schools etc. They say it's on the main route to London! Well why doesn't all the people in the area go work in London then if it's that easy. They have enough out of work people to flood into London jobs if it's that simple. These people will just end up out of work and draining Thanet's councils system which is already under pressure. Thanet has an increasing homelessness problem along with emergency housing increasing costs this councils millions. It is not an affluent area that can sustain more people. With the loss of the port and now the airport ,that is too many jobs lost.
