Dear Sirs,
This is to make a representation on behalf of Manston Thorn Limited, the owner of the Manston Solar Farm located at the South of the project alongside the airport runway (Post Code CT12 5DS). Manston Thorne reiterates its two major concerns that have already raised in the Consultation phase:
Manston Thorne is requesting that the dust control measures for the various construction phases will ensure that the performance of the PV plant located to the south of the runway is not adversely affected.
Manston Thorne also requests a study on the long term increase of soot directly from the 10,000 aircraft movements and indirectly from the increased road traffic this will generate. As most of this traffic will be in the form of diesel powered transport. To show that the development will not affect the projected output from our solar PV plant.
We require these concerns to be taken into account in the Manston airport project as dust and soot issues would highly affect the performance of the solar farm.
