I wish to strongly oppose the DCO application that RSP have submitted to yourselves and you have agreed to examine on the following grounds:

  1. RSP have no proof of funds and no history successful aviation business.

  2. The Government has not suggested a need for another Cargo Hub in the country.

  3. Thanet is surrounded by water on 3 sides and too far from the M25 to make it a viable freight option.

  4. RSP have confirmed and acknowledged that NIGHT FLIGHTs would be included in the proposal to make it viable. This will be detrimental to the health, sleep and quality of life to many residents.

  5. The day time effects of a Cargo Hub would and has in the past caused disruption to GPs, Teachers, Carers and students who have their practices interrupted by the noise of the planes flying regularly overhead. The detrimental effects are unacceptable.

  6. Ramsgate currently has a growing and sustainable tourist industry with people visiting from far and wide and new business starting up all the time. Along with blue flag beaches and more blue plaques than Bath, to allow a cargo hub and NIGHT FLIGHTs would bring this to a sudden halt.

  7. Impact on the extensive wildlife including Pegwell, Sandwich and Monkton Nature reserve would be totally devastating and unacceptable.

Many Thanks for your time.
