I live on the flight path of Manston Airport and know that it will be impossible for my family and I to sleep with regular flights through the night; the planes come so low. They were extremely loud and disruptive when the airport was up and running before. I am a counsellor and sleep has a huge effect on mental health, lack of good quality sleep can increase the likelihood of depression and anxiety. I have had clients become suicidal as a result of lack of sleep over a period of not even a few weeks.
As well as the pollution levels that will affect my partner and my son who both have [Redacted]
For this reason I am against Manston being used as a freight airport. I also feel that it will stop people from wanting to come and visit the town, just as its starting to get really popular again.
