We Need an Airport, for quality jobs as will as catering and cleaning etc. We need an emergency Runway, ours I believe is the second longest in the country. We would need a cap on night flights.

We don't need thousands of houses for people with no jobs!

To keep our airport would in time lessen the traffic going to Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted.

If the will is there our airport could be made a growing concern.

The last and present owners are only interested in land banking!

If you do not like the aircraft movements and noise, don't buy a house by an airfield. Not rocket Science.

I have enclosed my original letter.

Original Letter:

Dear Sir/Madam

OH! How I would love Manston to be an airport again. Jobs for the working man/women to do! We would maybe also keep our hospital instead of services going miles away.

Even the air/sea rescue could return and be next to the busiest shipping lanes in the world.

On a selfish note I could go on holiday without spending hundreds of pounds on taxi fares. I've also lived with Harrier sams , lightening sam and phantoms to say nothing of the Vulcan. Noise affecting children? They get used to it and sleep through it. Just as I slept through steam trains shunting coal, once I knew it wasn't a dragon! Please let us have our beloved airport many died keeping it and without the emergency facility many more could.
