Re-opening Manston Airport as a freight destination accepting 12000 movements per year will cause great distress to residents of Minster, Manston and Ramsgate due to the noise and airborne pollution of the aircraft, it will cause damage to the local environment for wildlife and birds, and it will result in traffic congestion around the neighbourhood. Siting the fire training facility at the eastern end of the runway as proposed will result in clouds of smoke blowing across neighbouring properties, harming residents, livestock, pets and wildlife.
