I believe the reopening of Manston Airport as a mainly cargo airport will be good for the area and also benefit the other airports that do not want cargo going through them selves. This runway has been here for years and been chosen as backup runways for some of the most prestigious aircraft every made, including Concorde and the Space Shuttle when they both flew, plus with the length of the runway can take nearly any airplane thrown at it. Since our area is crying out for jobs and more people are moving to the area where new houses are being built this airport could help with plenty of positions and if a small Passenger airline did join at a later date more jobs and hopefully tourists would come in via Manston. It works at other local airports, why not here.
