  1. There is no need for a cargo 'hub', there is already plenty of air freight space available at existing airports. In addition, this proposed airport is too far out of the way and will not be used in sufficient amounts to make it viable.
  2. Pollution, both noise and air (smell). There are thousands of people living directly under what will be the (a) flight path. Also three schools. The air is clear here now since the old airport shut and the atmosphere peaceful, especially at night.
  3. Following on from the above, and in particular, the frankly appalling prospect of night flights!
