I feel the development of Manston airport into use by aviation is a posative move for Thanet and Kent as a whole. In Thanet unemployment is very high and no real prospects of large scale, well paid jobs in the coming years or decades just neich small developments due to the councils lack of commitment to the people of Thanet. It will be a boost to local economy and create much need fianancial boost as at present the relience on tourists is still very much the way things are here. This should ease the strain on London airports and offer a gateway to the ferry port for cruise ships sailing from Dover, must also be realised. For 100 years Manston has aviation there and to kill this off for a few old posh people because of noise is madness, jobs and the economy of Thanet is more important and i have three young grand childrens future to think of.
