Good afternoon,
I live locally and work locally at the windfarm in Ramsgate. I have seen a very strong need for an airport in the area. We have workers flying in from all sorts of countries and if there was domestic flights to manston it would support the windfarm industry which is influential in the area. The airport would bring a huge amount of jobs to the area, which is well needed with the house growth going on in the area. Lots of new houses but no new jobs. Good jobs are hard to come by in this area. The airport will also lessen some of the stress on the London airports, if only for freight to start with it will still be better than a huge amount of houses being built there, as I said already all our towns and villages are being expanded with new builds and that's already enough! The airport does have its boundary close to minster round about giving fast access to the dual carriageway and motorway to London, so the lorries could be send within the airport grounds to avoid traffic blockages. I will be moving to minster in November but again now families have around two to four cars each, airport traffic may not be worse than the alternative of lots of cars. I do really hope we get our airport back.
