I think that Manston as an airport would be a great thing for the area of Thanet putting much needed wealth into what is a depressed area , creating many jobs for local people as well as people who would move to the area injecting money into housing , retailing and the leisure sector. With the London Airports running at full capacity Manston is the ideal site to develop an airport with the large runway it already has just sitting there doing nothing and probably one of the safest options for entering and exiting because of it,s location being right by the coastline! With very good the road and rail links it is easily accessible from London for people or freight to travel to making it an excellent hub to Europe especially and to the rest of the globe. Manston as an airport can only be a good thing for the area as well as the country as a whole. Please give the go ahead for the proposal because as a local businessman in Ramsgate it can only be beneficial to Everybody. I speak to many local residents in Thanet and They all have the same feelings an vision as Myself but just aren,t being heard.
