I would like to submit my support for the Manston Airport DCO. Given the deprived area status of Thanet, i feel we need good quality jobs and apprenticeships for the young of the area, and, given Brexit, the chances of a huge increase in airfreight is almost certain: Gatwick and Heathrow would be able to free up space if freight went to Manston, therefore doing way with the need of a 3rd runway at Heathrow. This area is unable to cope with a huge influx of people or houses. Building on top of an aquifer is never a good idea. We do not have the infrastructure to cope with the extra demands... the roads are full of potholes, it can take up to 4 weeks to get a doctors appointment and forget about an NHS dentist. The DCO is the right direction for the future of Thanet.
