As a resident who lives directly under the proposed flight path I strongly am against the application of a cargo hub being opened on the mansion sight. I argue that this proposal will have deep negative consequences to mine, my family and my communities health and well-being. Under the Care Act 2014 it states that local councils have a duty of care to protect their residents and make appropriate actions to improve their health a wellbeing. The constant noise and disruption will effect the resident well-being, causing anxiety, stress and sleep disturbances. These conditions cause long term health conditions such as raised blood pressure, reliance on medication, risk of stroke etc. Thanet already has a shortage of health services with the opening of this cargo hub, I feel this would add further pressure due to the personal effects felt by the resident. Additionally, this knock on effect will cause chaos with the local workforce due to staff illness. Thanet is a beautiful area which has recently had an influx of people relocating for a better standard of life with this having a positive effect on local economy. I am strongly against the plans for the cargo hub. Regards Sarah Mcternan Bland
