To have this Airport in full working order will provide much needed work for the area and also provide a future for the younger generation. The skills that can be obtained over coming years will be twofold, local businesses will equally benefit from this airport over coming years if not immediately for some. This is an opportunity to relieve London Airports and possibly save money by not expanding any, saving much needed money for other areas in the Country overall. The infrastructure is in place and yes needs to be "put right", but overall our local economy will benefit and will boost Thanet and the surrounding areas. Easy access to both Ramsgate, Dover and Folkestone Docks, good road system leading to London via the M2 or further afield going to link up to M20. Not only and opportunity to offer much needed work in the area but Apprenticeships to for the younger generation. This would revitalise the area completely and it would be a sin for it to be missed.
