I wish to write in support of the application on the following basis:-
the need for extra runway capacity in the UK (particularly southeast England) and the ability of Manston to fulfil that capacity, given it is already in existence and with good transport links
the need for economic generation in Thanet which RSP's plans would provide. The jobs created by the plans will be welcome in an economically deprived area. In addition to the jobs directly created, there will be a ripple effect in the local economy.
RSP's plans are in line with the Airports National Policy recommendations " We recommend that the Government, in the immediate period after an NPS is designated, launch a specific policy consultation, looking at the best ways to maximise existing airport capacity across the whole of the UK (March 2018)
