I wish to say that I am strongly against Manston being reopened by River Oak because I believe the only way that they can make this venture work is for several night flights to take place probably on a nightly basis.

I work at the Ramsgate Visitor Information Centre as a volunteer and visitors and locals are beginning to appreciate our area and what we have to offer. If there were to be several flights taking place day and night it would ruin our beautiful area.

It has been a struggle for the area to improve and to attract visitors back to appreciate what our area has to offer.

Therefore having planes regularly flying overhead, especially over Ramsgate would be my idea of a nightmare.

I believe we have the right to peace and quiet. This would be a strong reason for visitors to come to our various beaches especially out of season. For sure they won't want noisy, often dirty planes flying overhead. THIS USED TO HAPPEN WHEN MANSTON WAS BEING USED PREVIOUSLY WHEN CARRYING CARGO.

I DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT RIVER OAK SAY REGARDING NIGHT FLIGHTS AS I BELIEVE IT IS IN THEIR REPRESENTATION THAT THEY DON'T INTEND TO USE THE AIRPORT FOR NIGHT FLIGHTS AS THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE IT A SUCCESSFUL VENTURE FINANCIALLY.

PLEASE REFUSE RIVER OAK'S APPLICATION TO TURN BACK THE CLOCK. IT HAS BEEN PROVED BEFORE THAT MANSTON'S LOCATION JUST ISN'T POPULAR ENOUGH FOR IT TO BE JUST A PASSENGER AIRPORT.

(Sorry for all the capitals but I do feel so strongly about this as a local resident for 65 years).
