All three of London's main airports ( Heathrow,Gatwick and Stanstead)are suffering air space congestion. Travelling to all 3 is stressful due to traffic congestion which in turn increases pollution because of traffic queues. Using the airports is now slow to check in and get luggage returned on arrival. Residents around existing airports suffer noise and pollution and should not be exposed to more .
Reopening Manston will create construction jobs ,operational jobs , increase in trade. this in turn might more trade in Ramsgate Harbour. Buisiness travellers might be attracted to use Manston by arriving on the High speed train and establishing a shuttle bus from Ramsgate harbour to the airport. Lower cost for parking than at the other airports would be an incentive to use Manston Airport.
