As I live directly under the flight path to Manston I am concerned about the night flights and the added noise and air pollution to my village. Our Village school is under the flight path too. I feel that enough of our money has been wasted on Manston in the past trying to make it work as an airport. I feel its position has a lot against it ever making a profit. We have been poorly represented in Thanet by all parties at election time as they all jumped onto the Manston Band Wagon. Therefore all the people who were against Manston had nobody to vote for to represent them. We desperately need houses in Thanet, and the proposed houses on this site and the accompanying Medical centre, school, shops and Leisure Centre would be invaluable to the area. But now the local plan has been altered so that Manston can remain an apirport site, whether or not it is viable. so now all the surrounding towns and villages have had to take on all the required housing, even using Greenfield sites.This means that we will not get any new school, doctors surgery etc to cope with the influx of people to these homes. I want my grandchildren to grow up in a healthy environment not with air and noise pollution, all of our countryside concreted over and no schools or doctors for the communities.
