Good afternoon, I have lived in Thanet for almost all of my 66 years.As a former teacher at a local secondary school, I have seen the gradual decline in the employment opportunities for our local young people with Pfiza, Ramsgate Port, Pearce Signs, Elliot Electrical, Hornby Hobbies, Haffendens, Astra Fireworks, Richborough Power Station to name but a few major concerns disappearing from the employment market. Our local young people need the Jobs that would come with the re-openning of Manston Airport as a Major Air Freight hub. The Air Port has excellent Road and potential Rail links with the rest of the UK and Europe via the Channel Tunnel. It would offer employment across the spectrum of abilities posessed by the nearby population into the future thus helping to regenerate this wonderful Island of ours. Thank you.
