The reopening of Manston airport will bring much needed jobs to this area. Houses on this site would certainly not do that.
Manston has been an airport for over 100 years, this being the case, unless someone has moved here in the last four years, they would have known it was an airport.
I understand that River Oak is making provision for training locally so that the work would be available for people of Thanet.
River Oak has fought for a long time and promised investment to the area. I don't think they would have done this unless they were pretty sure that the airport could work.
We have a very long runway that is a safety line for planes in an emergency as any plane could land here.
Gatwick and Heathrow would be given more capacity in Manston was used for freight and hopefully local flights in the future. This has got to be good news all round!
Please give us our airport back.
