Dear Sir, as a Ramsgate resident whose house is directly under the approach flight path to the airport, I would like to register my concern regarding the frequent night flights that may be needed, should the airport reopen as a 24 hour cargo hub. It seems to me that the majority of people who would like to see the airport reopen as a cargo airport, and that includes our two MPs, will not have to put up with the noise, as they do not live in the vicinity of Manston, and therefore will not be affected. A large number of Ramsgate residents will be badly affected by night flight noise, but it appears our MP for Thanet South is so obsessed with Manston Airport reopening, that he has not to the best of my knowledge, mentioned the need for a quiet period during the night, for his constituents to be able to have some undisturbed sleep. I realise that having bought a house near to the airport, some noise is inevitable, but in the 27 years that I have lived at my address, I have never been subjected to more than very occasional night flight noise. What is being proposed with a 24 hour cargo hub airport, and the attendant night flight noise, is very worrying. Yours faithfully, Mr. Antony Emptage
