  1. Noise pollution. Having lived within an area in London where night flights were a regular occurrence I can only feel anxious and frustrated that Ramsgate town, where I currently live, will become an area also blighted by noise pollution. We lived in Herne Bay previous to Ramsgate, when Manston was an active airport and the regular low flying cargo planes were disruptive and the noise excessive. 2) Detrimental to health. The amount of night flights being proposed would be intolerable, and the many studies done where night flights already exist, running fewer flights than proposed at Manston, show it is detrimental to health. 3) Economic failure. When previous attempts at running an airport have incurred £100 million losses to the businesses involved, it does not make sense to keep pursuing this model. 4) Enviromental impact. Ramsgate is a historic town with pleasant surrounding rural areas that will be negatively affected by its proximity to a busy cargo airport.
