There is an absolute need for additional runway capacity in the U.K. and Manston airport is perfectly placed geographically to provide that extra capacity. The runway can accommodate all known aircraft currently in service. Flight paths are largely over water or farm land so disruption by noise or pollution is at a minimum. Transport links, road and rail are reasonable at present but could easily be improved without very much damage to areas of housing.
