I would like to raise the following points in relation to the DCO and support the application to make Manston an airport again. Thanet does not need more housing, there are not services in place to support housing, the hospital is struggling, doctors are overloaded, dentists are non existent, police fire and ambulance are overstretched. Rebuilding the airport will create just as many jobs and building houses, bringing more people to Thanet via housing to an island that is allready overcrowded needs serious consideration not to mention schools and other council services that are struggling. There are plans for a new train station in Cliffsend, reinforce the motorway network to the airport and move freight from Heathrow and Gatwick. This will free up airspace around those sites, not only that Manston is vital for air safety it’s runway is huge and is easily accessible for emergency landings. I agree with time restrictions no flights past 2300 hrs to 0700 to allow for noise but that would leave plenty of time in day. Flights from France could also ease op stack and provide alternatives when ferries and eurotunnel are over stretched
