I would like Manston to continue as an airport. It is in a strategic position in relation to Europe and I believe will bring jobs into our area for the younger generation as Thanet needs investment to encourage prosperity and hope for a better future for all who live here. I believe that many are worried about 24/7 flights particularly cargo freight. But there are laws preventing night flights from happening within times that would disturb the residents sleep. When Manston was operational planes flew over my garden in the day time, it did not concern me not enough to protest about it with no other solution as many in Thanet seem to be doing. If the flight schedules are strictly monitored I believe it will be an asset to our area, and welcome the proposal.
