I am concerned that a cargo hub on the Manston Airport site will produce noise and pollution throughout the day and night. I know that cargo planes are large and often not as young as they could be. My experience from when the airport was previously operational is that these flights came into Ramsgate at a very low height. My house which is directly under the flight path has been showered with aviation fuel, had its windows and roof shaken and my garden plants have been blown around. As residents we have often found it impossible to hold a conversation and have felt an overwhelming desire to 'duck' as the planes fly low over the house. In my partners words 'you can see the pilots nose hairs' as they go by.
