I believe that the plans by Riveroak Strategic Partners will damage the economy of Ramsgate and the surrounding areas, affect the health and well-being of the people of Ramsgate in particular, but also others in Thanet and East Kent, and will prevent a mixed use non-airport development that would have a greater chance of providing sustainable jobs for one of the most deprived areas in Kent. I live under the flight path of the former airport, and know the extreme noise created when it operated. In the day, you could not hear yourself talk when a plane landed. At night I used to wake in fright when a late plane came in the noise was so terrific. The plans would damage the growing tourist industry in Ramsgate and Thanet, and a newly thriving community would be decimated.
