I believe that the return on Manston Airport back to a functioning airport for both freight and passenger aircraft is of the most importance in this area. It will bring much needed jobs to the area with of all varieties, skilled and unskilled. which will grow and grow the busier it gets. Additionally having recently experienced a 6 hour return car journey from Stansted airport due to traffic and road closures, a local airport would be very welcome, additionally the reduction in car journeys from the people in Kent traveling up to the likes of Heathrow, Gatwick and the like would have to improve the environment reducing vehicle emissions. Lastly if the airport is not given the chance it so badly needs it cannot be replaced and if this is the case it may turn out to be one of the gravest mistakes this government could make. Words and promises can be changed by the a new incoming government but reallocated land like this runway once ripped up can not. Please don't make this mistake.
