When we bought the house six years ago the airport was still in use. There were three or four planes during a week. This did not put us off buying the house but we hadn’t realised that the planes used our section of Rydal Avenue to line up for the runway. We have now got used to not having any planes disturbing our peace and quiet. If there are a lot of flights including night flights this will be detrimental to my well being as I am a light sleeper and am sometimes disturbed by the nearer by traffic. To have planes flying over frequently will mean that I will never sleep through the night again. 1.Noise pollution will mean broken nights. 2. Air pollution from the engines.
