I live with and care for my 92 year old mother who has [Redacted]. We moved to Ramsgate because she had always wanted to live by the sea and loves beautiful architecture with historic importance; Ramsgate is the idea location for her to end her years. I am deeply concerned about the impact these airport proposals will her on her quality of life and for those many older people who love in this area - Thanet's older people population is above the national average. Whenever she can my mother sits in the garden, even in the winter, to listen to the birds and when they are home to the local children. This peace makes her more settled and less confused. She will lose this last enjoyment if airport plans go ahead as we are directly on the flight path. When she suffers sleep loss or has to spend hours indoors she becomes more confused and her quality of life and that of her family suffers significantly. I can see no meaningful evidence that these plans are required and that the risk to historic beauty and value, older people's health and wellbeing in their last precious years and pollution risks to the wider population and natural environment are worth taking.
