I am deeply concerned about the proposal, when Manston previously had some flights the plans flew over Herne, the plans were so low you could see the pilots, and pictures rattled inside the house, the previous occupiers and there have been a few all failed to make it work. A small and it’s very small miniorty have pushed for the return of this airport as a cargo hub.
Apart from the noise and pollution there is NO infrastructure, the road links are poor, the A299 every few years is resurfaced as its on London Clay. There are thousands and thousands of residents who do not want this, they are not being heard ! Thanet is a poor area, we need affordable housing, small business that this site would give, not a Cargo Hub that will make an American company quite rich, the Cargo industry works on very tight margins so any promise of jobs will be rew and far between
I hope this application will be turned down as the area do not want it, their proposal pack says lots of nice words but they are hollow ......
The truth is lots of noisy plans causing pollution heart ache for all the residents ...
It’s such a shame that I can’t sue when my house price plummets as well
