I implore the Secretary of State to reject this application for the following reasons......

As a family we moved to Ramsgate 33 years ago. At that time Ramsgate was at a low point with Manston being in the hands of the MOD. This involved occasional short take offs and landings, which wasn’t too bad. Following the selling off and it becoming a passenger and freight airport the area and Ramsgate in particular was constantly affected by the very loud, over head noise that halted conversation, woke people sleeping and the vibrations affected the brickwork of buildings under its flight path along with continual air pollution. Ramsgate continued to make no improvement until 2014 when the airport was closed. Now the area has emerged into a pleasant and vibrant community, with more people visiting and others finding it a desirable place to live away from city pollution. All the outdoor events , businesses, cafes and restaurants, schools and the only Royal Harbour will be ruined by this constant disturbance 24 hours a day. Our house is directly under the flight path, a mile from the airport and the heavy cargo planes will be coming in to land about 187 mtr above our house. There are also too many properties between our house and the end of the runway. In conclusion we will not be able to sleep because of noise, open our windows day and night because of pollution, won’t be able to drive to and from the area because the roads will be congested by the freight being transported on already very busy dual carriageways. The area is on a peninsular so it does not make good business sense.
