My worries and concerns are as follows: • Health issues due to excessive noise pollution, which I'm led to believe causes high blood pressure to those who don't yet suffer from it and a greater risk to those who do, which I include myself. I gave up work due to high BP. Greater pressure on Doctors. • Lack of sleep due to 24/7 flights. My property is directly in the flight path and planes are only a matter of metres above (73m-138m). This will obviously affect all age groups and for workers using machinery, it could prove dangerous. Quality of life greatly reduced. •Traffic will be affected. I moved from London to find peace and avoid traffic jams. I fear that with the extra freight traffic, roads will be clogged up in Thanet. This would reduce visitors who may have otherwise come to see our lovely town. • Heritage: I feel the seaside towns will suffer greatly due to heavy traffic and excessive noise pollution, reducing tourism and therefore money coming to the area. This is badly needed for our small community to survive. • On a lighter note, it has been wonderful to have the variety of birds in our gardens since the planes have stopped, so lovely to admire.
