After 70+ years of poor airport planning in the UK since WW2, Manston Airport is the last vital asset of its kind in the South-East which should be preserved. Lack of UK foresight is further emphasised by the fact that it is taking the Americans to see the future opportunities at Manston! The latest poor planning is the proposed third runway at Heathrow, trying to squeeze a quart into a pint pot. Manston can make a significant contribution to easing the Heathrow bottleneck. This country cannot afford to sacrifice such an important runway.
