I live directly beneath the flight path of the proposed nights flights. I have attended a number of meetings including a purported consultation by RiverOak which have filled me with dismay about the damage which would be caused to Ramsgate, its residents and it resurgent tourist trade if this airport were to reopen as a 24/7 Cargo Hub.

Ramsgate needs jobs and homes - and the plan of the present owners to provide both whilst preserving the historically significant areas of the site seems far and away preferable to the pie in the sky proposals from RiverOak - which if they fail, will be yet another blight on Ramsgate's economic development and if they succeed will divert profits to the owners and operators - none of whom live in this area - and bring only noise and environmental pollution to the people of Ramsgate.

The claims made for the proposed airport seem utterly specious.

The airport is surrounded by animal and bird sanctuaries and preservation sights which will be adversely affected by the proposed night flights.
