I object the RSP’s DCO.

The air and noise pollution will negatively affect the health of my family who live under and near the flight path. With a number of family members having already suffered Stokes, I am concerned by their proximity to an entity known to increase the risk of Stroke, theirs already being predisposed. Also with the closure of NHS Stroke services, their chances of survival will be lowered due to extra travel time to specialist care and treatment through additional traffic caused by the airline’s presence.

Noise pollution and the consequences of sleep deprivation of residents in the surrounding area is also a concern. Although RSP are limiting the number of night flights to eight. Those planes produce more noise than Heathrow will allow. I don’t wish to imagine let alone witness the effect of being woken up 8 times in the night every night will have on my family living under and near the flight path. Moreover the effect it will have on their work, as nurses, exhaustion causes mistakes and their mistakes can cost lives.

In the RSP’s submission provide no details for what or where the jobs they claim the airline will produce come from. Conversely, the current owners plans guarantee thousands of homes and jobs and will continue to provide jobs with the estate’s upkeep. With this guarantee for work, housing, educational and leisure facilities which will benefit the community, I don’t think it’s worth gambling on an opening an airport which has been closed for years and has a strong record for failure in every instance.

Following this I would like you to investigate why the RSP is using [Redacted], a [Redacted] who was leading at the helm in the failure of Manston airport under previous ownerships. Why is he being trusted again? Surely it’s quite obvious that doing the same thing over and over will only yield the same results. A failed Manston airport yet again
