Having lived in Thanet all my life, and seen the various companies try and fail to make a success of the former airport; no one has been able to answer: why it will succeed this time? The low flying aircraft were a serious nuisance to anyone near the flight path, which flew directly over the harbour and town centre. The airport wasn't operating at anywhere near the scale that is planned. The night flights are going to have a serious impact on the quality of our sleep which will in turn will impact on our health. N02 admissions are already too high in the country as a whole and the air over Thanet will become increasingly toxic, especially being under one of the busiest flight paths in Europe. Since the airport has closed, jobs created from tourism have increased at above the national average and the proposed jobs to be created by operations at the airport will not offset those jobs lost as people who once enjoyed the peace and quiet of the Kent coast & countryside go elsewhere.

Why are RSP,SMA & [redacted] saying there will be no need for night flights when it is in their business plan. Why are the Pro Manston groups claiming the majority of people in Thanet support the airport with no evidence to back this up. I think that mix of air & noise pollution, the impact on the nature reserve and the general down grading of the quality of our lives means that the airport should not reopen
