I am objecting to this application as I think it would significantly hurt the economy of the town, its history and the natural environment around the town. Aircraft fuel pollution could have an effect on the coastline and waters. The inshore waters around Ramsgate have an exceptionally rich natural heritage. Almost the entire coast falls within a Marine Protected Area (MPA), with the majority of the inshore seas being of European importance, making this coastline of outstanding importance both within the UK and internationally. Three Marine Conservation Zones were designated in 2013. The profusion of designations not only demonstrates the importance of this coast, but the wide range of habitats and species which it supports. Moreover, the town has 442 listed buildings and a very significant built heritage which could be harmed by this development. In recent years the fragile economy of the town has improved, tourists are starting to come back, restaurants and hotels are starting to open. Tourism is vital to the town, its all we have. This freight operation will not provide signifcant jobs and will destroy Ramsgate's tourist trade and the environment.
