Registering as an Interested Party to the National Planning Inspectorate: Graham Coxon

I strongly object to River Oak Strategic Partners (ROSP) being granted A DCO (Development Consent Order) to re-open Manston Airport as an Air Cargo Freight Hub.

As a resident of Ramsgate I oppose Manston Airport re-opening and becoming an air and land cargo hub. I feel that the noise pollution will not be something that the population of Ramsgate - or indeed Thanet as a whole - will get used to, I feel instead it would dramatically reduce the quality of life for people living in Ramsgate and the surrounding areas and it's many damaging effects would destroy important wildlife habitats. I am a home recordist and work with very sensitive microphones. Recording would become almost impossible with low flying aircraft using Manston Airport almost constantly day and night and would cause me to think seriously about moving out or having to pay out a small fortune for extremely expensive sound proofing to keep the noise from the aircraft being heard on recordings. This would be hugely expensive, disruptive and time consuming - and possible impractical or unachievable in our Grade II Listed property. I also feel it’s a disaster waiting to happen. There will be long term risks from fuel pollution and mental disturbances to the people living nearby from the almost constant noise, pollution day and night and the risk of and massive consequences and human deaths should there be an accident like a plane crash at Manston, Ramsgate or anywhere else locally - or a fuel tank explosion on the surrounding roads. It is for the reasons above that I am opposed to RiverOak Strategic Partnerships proposal as is being considered by the National Planning Inspectorate and for the detailed reasons outlined by my wife [REDCATED] in her objections, which are views that I also share.
