The submissions I wish to make , in relation to Riveroak Strategic Partners application for a Development Consent Order for Manston, are as follows.
1: Airport will bring employment , to an area of high unemployment and depravation.
2: An aircraft recycle facility will bring highly skilled work.
3: A state of the art reopened Manston Airport will be more sympathetic to the environment than housing on an already stressed environment.
4: Private investment into Manston demonstrates that the business world has confidence in its success.
5: Manston’s ready access to the national road network and the ports of Dover and Ramsgate. will be of increased importance after Brexit.
6: High quality employment ,education and training ,raising the standard of living both short and long term for the young people of Thanet.
