I wish to object to the application, because I believe the project falls far short of being of national strategic importance.

The airport has been closed for more than four years, with no discernible adverse effect, other than the loss of fewer than 150 jobs.

The speculative proposals rely on fanciful predictions of future cargo trade and how much might be attracted to the geographically-challenged Manston site.

The company currently applying for the Order has no history of successful aviation business and its funding is mired in confusion.

I share concerns about pollution, noise and general detriment to the area.

Until this application is rejected, the valuable brownfield site is blighted, to the detriment of Thanet.
