I LIVE UNDER ONE OF THE PROPOSED FLIGHT PATHS FOR THE REOPENED AIRPORT, AND OBJECT TO THE APPLICATION BECAUSE: THE INTENTION CONCERNING NIGHT FLIGHTS IS NOT CLEAR. 8 FLIGHTS A NIGHT IS DOCUMENTED AS WORSE CASE, BUT THE PROPOSED NIGHT NOISE QUOTA IS HUGE. WILL THE INSPECTOR INVESTIGATE THAT CONTRADICTION? HOW WAS THE NIGHT NOISE QUOTA ARRIVED AT? CAN WE SEE THE CALCULATION? WHY IS THERE NO NUMERCAL CAP ON NIGHT FLIGHTS? ALL THESE MATTERS ARE OF SERIOUS CONCERN TO ME AND THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. HGV MOVEMENTS ESTIMATED TO BE GENERATED BY THE APPLICANT'S SCHEME ARE 64906 BY YEAR 20, WHEN CARGO TONNAGE WILL EXCEED THAT OF EAST MIDLANDS AIRPORT. YET EMA CURRENTLY HAS 182500 HGV MOVEMENTS PER YEAR. CAN THE INSPECTOR NGET AN EXPERT TO LOOK AT WHY THERE IS SUCH A DISCRPANCY, AS THE IMPLICATIONS FOR THE LOCAL ROAD NETWORK ARE SUBSTANTIAL? THE BUSINESS CASE IS DEFICIENT, IT HAS NO CASH FLOW, PROFIT & LOSS OR INVESTMENT PROJECTIONS. 4 OTHER INDEPENDENT AVIATION EXPERT REPORTS SAY MANSTON IS NOT A VIABLE AIRPORT. THE OPPORTUNITY COST OF PROCEEDING WITH THE APPLICANT'S SCHEME ARE NOT STATED, INCLUDING THE ADVERSE EFFECT ON EMA. WHAT IS THE COST OF THE HARMS:POLLUTION, NOISE AND CONGESTION OF AN AIRPORT? WITHOUT MEASURING THESE IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO REACH A BALANCED CONCLUSION.
