I moved to Ramsgate 4 years ago. I love the following.

It is small enough to have a community feel but large enough to have privacy.

The Royal harbour is breathtaking. It is the only Royal Harbour in the country.

The climate is wonderful. Much better than London where I moved from.

It has great links to London for work.

It’s town centre and harbour area is bustling all year round.

It’s an area that is having a great regeneration. We lived for 28 years in London and recognise the signs having lived through it there.

I love the restaurants.

Tourism is thriving.

The beaches are beautiful and unlike other areas lovely and sandy.

The wildlife is abundant.

Why I will move from Ramsgate if the airport is approved;

my house is directly below the flight path, which will inhibit me from opening the windows due to noise. Considering I live in a listed building air conditioning is not an option. This will affect my quality of life drastically.

I have grandchildren in the area and their schools are in the flight path. Their education will be disrupted.

We moved from london due to the pollution in the city, if the airport is approved our air quality will be reduced and my [redacted] will be further aggravated.

The thriving tourist industry will be ruined.

Manston is Not financially sustainable as an airport. It will not generate local jobs.

The U.K. has sufficient provision for cargo flight freight already, many of which are more sensibly located for logistical purposes.

House prices will be negatively affected, this will cause financial hardship to many who have moved to the area.

Ramsgate is in dire need of housing - this is accepted in the council town plan. Manston would be an ideal location for housing.

A cargo airport at Manston is not finanically viable. The owners of Riveroak do not have the funds needed.

The wildlife will be badly affected

I am concerned that the airplanes using the hub will be the ones banned from London and surrounding airports. Why is it ok for us to have them? No other community in the whole country has to live with these conditions and it will decimate the lives of all the residents in Ramsgate and surrounding areas.
