A new, bigger airport at Manston will inject life into this deprived part of Kent. Never before before has Thanet had such an opportunity for new jobs for all skills, especially with RSP working closely with colleges and schools to offer girls and boys apprenticeships. The new life of the airport will be a vital necessity due to Brexit and I can see only positives in this project.

Thanet is an overcrowded, deprived area in Kent with little prospect of useful employment in the Island. Kids leave school without hope of finding a job and many of their parents are unemployed too. To add to this number by adding hundreds more houses on the airport land (in addition to those going elsewhere in our illages) would be a disastrous mistake. There has never been an opportunity to have the money that Riveroak Strategic Partnership is prepared to invest in reopening Manston Airport as a cargo hub/passenger terminal which will give such employment opportunities to local people. Apprenticeships arranged with local Colleges and work for all level of skills, in addition to our Nation’s benefit and prosperity when we leave the European Union and need this cargo facility, rather than losing it to another overseas airport.
