I was a resident in Ramsgate during the years 2003- 2009. The first four years my house was in Plains of Waterloo, a street directly under the flight path. The aircraft flew very low over the house with intense noise and vibration. As a result I developed tinnitus and was obliged after three years to move to Penshurst Road and some way from the flight path. Any adult or child sleeping under the flight path would be woken by a deafening roar and for small children a frightening experience at night.I finally left the area altogether.Since then on visits to Ramsgate when flights had ceased, I have seen the town revive and aircraft no longer a threat to one’s daily living and enjoyment of this historical town on the Channel coast.
