Risk of air pollution and the damage that is caused to health because of this. Recent studies in London have shown a 40% increase in dementia than those people who live in an area of clean air. Our current air quality is excellent but with the anticipated 83,000 flights a year , the levels of air pollution will increase and so will all the health risks. We are 2 weeks from having a baby and do not want the air it breathes to cause unnecessary damage to its lungs. Flights constantly during the night is going to effect the sleep of every household , this in turn will impact on our ability to do our jobs correctly. Recently the isle of Thanet has attracted many new visitors to the area , job opportunities have increased and their is a regeneration in creativity and a buzz about the area. People are WANTING to come here to spend their money - a cargo hub will drive away visitors and the area will decline again . I do not want my child to grow up in a polluted , unappealing environment which is detrimental to his and my health .
