Please register Guildford Lawn Residents Against DCO Group as an interested party who is against the proposed plans by RSP to DCO the Manston airport site. The Planning Inspectorate needs to fully investigate the following:

• RSP’s business plan is completely flawed. • Funding - Two different administrations at TDC found that RSP (or RiverOak as they were then) kept promising they had the money to proceed with the CPO of the airport but, even though the deadline to prove they had the funds, was stretched and stretched, RSP were never able to prove they had the money to ‘build’ a new airport at Manston. The Planning Inspectorate is still awaiting proof of funds to prove RSP are able to proceed should the DCO be approved. They will always have an answer why they have not been able to show “proof” or cleverly spin a line that the funds are available but not until the DCO is approved. I hope PINS will not entertain any of their claims. If the money is not forthcoming (and I very much doubt it will be) then the DCO should be closed down never to be considered again.

• Night flights – RSP have maintained these are not needed and will not happen and yet they have included a Quota Count that will mean we, as residents, will get them. If RSP continues to maintain they don’t need night flights then PINS should ensure that these are written into any DCO agreement thus saving thousands of people a basic human right, an undisturbed night’s sleep.

• Health Implications need to be fully investigated. With Ramsgate, a town of over 40,000 residents less than a mile from the runway, the impact on health, just from the dangerous particulates is devastating.

• No Public Safety Zones – I understand RSP has proposed a number of flights just under the threshold that requires Public Safety Zones. Best practice from a credible company would I believe ensure these are in place.

• Devastating Impact on Ramsgate’s heritage assets and Ramsgate Heritage Action Zone.

• Any jobs gained at a cargo hub will be lost in our tourism industry.

• Pegwell Nature Reserve, in the last 4 years since the airport closed, has attracted much more wildlife, including peregrine falcons, buzzards and other rarely seen birds and wildlife.

• Significant danger as fuel transportation being brought in by road.

• Educational attainment suffering.
