• Decreased quality of life for residents in the flight path forcing people to leave the area. • Increased traffic will hit commuters and local businesses. • Curb on the upward trend of Ramsgate as an up-and-coming creative hotspot. • An exodus of the young people who’ve moved here to escape London and build new businesses here. • Increased pollution and worse air quality. o DCO 5.1/ 4.1.46 “....significant adverse effects have been identified as being likely as a result of an increase in noise..” o 4.1.47 “aircraft noise would increase to the point where there would be a perceived change in the quality of life for occupants.... “ • The proposed increase in jobs offset by loss of jobs in creative industries as people leave and take their spending power with them. • Previous attempts have suggested that the business model is economically unviable and multiple bids have already been rejected. • Multiple reports on the proposed project have been by undertaken by independent aviation experts and have concluded it to be unsuitable as a site and unviable as a business.
